J. E. Weiner brings us The Wretched and Undone, a sweeping Southern Gothic saga set in the Texas Hill Country. On the eve of the Civil War, Polish immigrants Marcin and Agnieszka Anderwald seek a new life, only to encounter a vengeful ghost and a curse that haunts their family for generations. The haunting tale weaves together love, vengeance, and sacrifice, as each generation fights to break free from the grip of a malevolent force determined to destroy them.

Penny Haw presents Follow Me to Africa, a dual-timeline novel inspired by the real-life story of groundbreaking paleoanthropologist Mary Leakey. In 1983, a grieving Grace Clark forms an unexpected bond with Mary, who reflects on her own remarkable journey in East Africa. Together, they discover a secret that binds their fates, while navigating the wilds of Tanzania and the unspoken history of their shared passion for the natural world.

Fiona Davis introduces The Stolen Queen, a historical thriller that alternates between 1936 Egypt and 1978 New York City. Charlotte Cross, a young anthropology student, uncovers a rare female pharaoh’s legacy while working on an excavation in the Valley of the Kings. Decades later, Annie Jenkins teams up with Charlotte to track down a missing artifact during the Met Gala, only to uncover a dangerous secret that takes them back to Egypt—where Charlotte must confront her past to uncover the truth.

Susan Meissner offers A Map to Paradise, a compelling tale set in 1950s Malibu. Melanie Cole, a Hollywood starlet on the blacklist, becomes embroiled in the mystery of her reclusive neighbor Elwood’s disappearance. Alongside her housekeeper Eva and Elwood’s sister-in-law June, Melanie uncovers dark secrets that bind them together in a fragile alliance. The novel explores the complexities of trust, survival, and the impact of hidden lives on the present.
