Colin Mustful, the founder of History Through Fiction, is proud to announce the launch of HTF Publishing, a new hybrid publishing imprint that promises to give authors the same high-quality publishing experience as its parent imprint.
In 2019, historian and author Colin Mustful combined his passion for history with his knowledge of storytelling to create History Through Fiction, an independent traditional press specializing in historical fiction. Since then, the press has grown tremendously, now boasting a line-up of seven authors, a podcast with more than fifty episodes, a wildly popular panel series called What’s New in Historical Fiction, a member area featuring historical fiction short stories, freelance editing services, and more! Now, leaning on that success and relying on his experience as an independent author and publisher with an educational background in both history and creative writing, Mustful wants to help more authors create and publish their stories.
That’s why he is introducing HTF Publishing, a secondary, hybrid imprint committed to upholding the standards of the History Through Fiction brand. Just like his traditional imprint, Mustful and his team of freelance contributors are committed to publishing high-quality historical novels that are both entertaining and informative. Beginning September 1, 2023, when authors submit their manuscript to History Through Fiction, their manuscript will also be considered for HTF Publishing. To ensure quality, only those submissions that demonstrate exceptional writing and thorough research will be offered a hybrid contract. While Mustful will still offer traditional contracts to those submissions that surpass even the most exceptional historical manuscripts, providing a hybrid publishing option will allow more authors the opportunity to reach readers and achieve their publishing dreams.
