Cover Reveal! My Mother’s Secret by Alina Adams

History Through Fiction is proud to reveal the cover design for our upcoming release, My Mother’s Secret: A Novel of the Jewish Autonomous Region by Alina Adams.

My Mother’s Secret is an eye-opening family saga that reveals the little-known history of Birobidzhan, the 20th century’s first Jewish State. A follow-up to her previous novel, The Nesting Dolls, author Alina Adams has created a story full of longing and richly-drawn historical details while exploring universal themes of identity, love, loss, war, and parenthood. The novel is set for release on November 15, 2022, from History Through Fiction, an independent publisher of historical fiction. The cover was designed by Christine Horner of The Book Cover Whisperer, a graphic designer, writer, and publisher, who has been designing and formatting books for independent authors and publishers for more than six years.

Adams, who is the fourth author signed by History Through Fiction, is also the author of soap-opera tie-ins, figure-skating mysteries, and romance novels. Born in Odessa, USSR, Adams immigrated to the United States at age seven and learned to speak English by watching American Soap Operas. Her As The World Turns book tie-in, Oakdale Confidential, became a New York Times bestseller. Today, Adams has established herself as a prolific and innovative writer who has authored more than a dozen books, both fiction and nonfiction. She lives in New York City with her husband and their three children.
