A debut novel by Nancy Burkhalter, The Education of Delhomme tells the story of Beaulieu Delhomme, the fictional piano tuner for famed pianist Frédéric Chopin. After being lured into a royal spy ring by Eugene-François Vidocq, the French criminal turned criminalist, Delhomme is arrested for treason and jailed in Paris’ infamous Conciergerie prison. His one-time competition for Chopin’s affections, George Sand, might be his only hope.
